Yuku free message boards

Hey, thanks for the kind words, Sho!
One of the nice things about forum boards - versus chat rooms and even Twitter - is that everything that has been posted is still around and easily accessible.
I still occasionally go back and revisit some topics, but I feel a bit like Nora Desmond in Sunset Boulevard, watching my own old movies on the 16mm projector.

We had a good run, though. I started the forum board the week before 9/11 happened, way back in 2001. We've gone through at least 2 good cycles of posters, some days getting over 1000 pages views and up to 75 new messages posted per day (that was back in the days of Witchblade and Wolf Lake). But, I guess everybody grows up and moves on. Honestly, with my work now, I really don't have the time to keep it going properly. C'est la vie, I guess.

As for Twitter, I like it because it still allows me to post my opinions on random topics, without having to put much time or effort into it. It also allows you to find other people with like interests to 'follow'. There's not a lot of interaction, though. Most people are more interested in trying to get more people to follow them, without any real emphasis on developing relationships with them. I blame it all on Ashton Kucher. A couple of months ago, he made a big push to be the first person on Twitter to have 1 million followers. Big whoop!

I also use Twitter for its search engine function. It provides the most up-to-date search results available, much better than Google, even. You should definitely check it out. Hunnibear recently joined, by the way.

They have a cool little widget that I'm going to post here that you can click on and read my stuff. But, I'm going to post it in the next message, because those Flash apps usually make the rest of these messages go a little wonky.......
