 And in answer to your question, Leafy, the only way HBO or anybody knows about the results of the petition is when the page is e-mailed to them. I encourage everyone to do just that. |

The petition now has over 14,000 signatures.
I'm still shocked and a bit saddened that there's no word about the release of Season 2 on DVD. It was December of last year when they released Season 1 on DVD. I did find out from our friends over at www.savecarnivale.org that Netflix is listing that the Season 2 DVDs will be available in February 2006. |

I actually think they broke the show up and auctioned it off because I keep seeing bits and pieces of this unique show in other shows. It really peeves me that others see the value and uniqueness but they don't. I really loved this show. It scared the heck out of me but was visually stunning, artistic and had amazing characters.

Exactly. I'm so surprised someone hasn't attempted to but the rights if HBO is giving up. At least the fans are still signing (as of 01-06-06) with a subtotal of 14228.

I've e-mailed HBO several times asking about the Season 2 DVDs, and if they know about the petition. I know I'll never get an answer, but at least they know I'm there.

It looks like the petition is slowing down. I guess that's to be expected. It's just really too bad that HBO completely dropped the ball on this great show. They should at least give the fans the second season on DVD.
I really wish you'd been with us during the run of the show, moon. We had a great group of posters during those two years (fortunately, we still have lots of the episode posts - thanks to Leafy! - after the ezboard hackjob of '05). |

And all I did was work and watch a few shows that I really liked and this was one of them and it really needs to be discussed afterwards, doesn't it? Its half the pleasure sometimes. I guess it was the last show that I was able to totally immerse myself in its intensity.

I don't know where else to post this (except in 24 - which I did
 ) but ... Lodz from Carnivale played a great bad guy on 24 this past week. He really is a looker when his eyes aren't glazed over from playing a blind guy. I hope we see him on some other shows. I haven't checked the petition in a while. Wow. It's now up to 16,470 votes.
It amazes me that people are still voting. Most of the recent comments are from people who watched and loved the Season 2 DVDs. What's wrong with these networks that refuse to listen to a fan base?!!! |

They rely too miuch on the Neilsen Ratings. The fans who watch Carnivle are probably not ones Neilsen counts. I like to think we are a higher order of watcher.
(even if I do have to wait for the DVD's). If they bring Carnivle back, I will sign up for cable. But as a series, not just a one time special.
