I'm always looking for a reason to post here in the dusty old Carnivale forum, and after meeting one of the actual stars of the series today in person, I
thought this would be an excellent opportunity to dust the cobwebs off and see if we still have any Carnivale fans still lurking about (ah, the good old days
of trying to keep up with all the comments posted about Carnivale!)
A bit earlier today, I found myself standing next to none other than Tim Dekay - Jonesy himself - at the local CVS pharmacy!
We were both in line - he was directly in front of me - and I had a brief opportunity to make a fool out of myself and bother him. One of the nice things about living here in Hollywoodland, you do occasionally see celebrities. However, it ain't cool to interrupt them (you never know if you're going to incur the disinterest of a Jay Leno or the awkward slight of a Jerry Seinfeld (I've been a victim of both, and yet I still enjoy connecting with these people. Call me a glutton for punishment, I guess). But Tim DeKay couldn't have been nicer. We did talk briefly about the disappointment of the cancellation of the series - he mentioned that they had plans for 3 more season! - but the conversation was short and sweet, due to him being next in line for the register.
I did give him one of my business cards promoting my website, and told him about just how popular this forum used to be. Hopefully, he'll check it out.
And if you're out there reading this, Tim, thanks for being a nice guy and not going all 'Russell Crowe' on my ass in public.

I had always heard of the idea of someone getting tarred and feathered, but it wasn't until
seeing it 'brought to life' on this show that I realized how truly horrific such a thing would be. Kudos to Tim McKay for bringing that to his
character.
